Drs. Beverly & Tom Rodgers
Bev & Tom Rodgers founded Rodgers Christian Counseling twenty years ago and work with individuals, couples and families in Charlotte, NC.  Both are members of the American Association of Christian Counselors and Certified Image Relationship Therapists, skilled in Harville Hendrix's work in his books Getting the Love you Want and Keeping the Love You Find.  Beverly received her Masters Degree in counseling from Northern Illinois University, and is a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist.  Tom received two Master's Degrees from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Azusa Pacific University.  The Rodgers have written four books: Soul Healing Love: Ten Practical, Easy To Learn Techniques for Couples in CrisisHow To Find Mr. or Ms. Right: A Practical Guide to Finding a Soul Mate, and Adult Children of Divorced Parents: Making Your Marriage Work. Robert Dodd
Dr. Robert Dodd, PsyD, spent the first twenty years of his adult life as a minister in the Church of the Nazarene. In 1996, Dr. Dodd felt a distinct call to “leave” the pastoral ministry, but to continue in ministry as a Clinical Psychologist. He entered the Doctoral program at Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA earning a Doctor of Clinical Psychology degree in 2002. His dissertation study was entitled The Relation Between Spiritual Functioning in Pastors and Perceived Stress Levels. Upon completion of his doctorate, Dr. Dodd served as a psychologist/therapist in a maximum security prison in Nashville, TN and as a therapist in a child and adolescent treatment facility for sex offenders. From January 2004-March 2006 he served as the Clinical Director of an adolescent treatment facility in Charlotte, NC. In March of 2006 he began his duties as the Clinical Director for RCCA. He and his wife, Cindi Dodd, MA, LPC, also conduct workshops and seminars on the weekend. His life experience, both as a pastor and psychologist, enables him to work effectively with a variety of mental health needs including adolescent, marriage, family and all addictive behaviors, especially sex addiction. He states that “my heart’s desire is to effectively integrate psychology and spirituality, helping individuals to gain wholeness of life.”
   

 
Cindi Dodd
Before beginning her counseling career, Cindi was a Music/Drama teacher and also Minister of Music at a large evangelical church. In those job situations, she found that she spent time meeting with individuals who were dealing with many issues in their own life. When she herself dealt with several devastating situations, a desire was sparked to truly be able to help others and pursue an advanced degree in counseling. She now holds a Masters Degree in Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN. Since May of 2005, she has worked as a full-time or part-time therapist at RCCA and received her license as an LPC in December 2006 along with her certification as a National Certified Counselor. From August of 2007 to June of 2010, she was the Lower School Counselor at Charlotte Christian School. Since July of 2010, she is again full-time at RCCA. In addition, she and her husband, Dr. Robert Dodd, PsyD, lead workshops and seminars on the weekends. Using her unique life experience and training in the Soul Healing Love Model, Cindi enjoys working with children, teenagers, singles, married couples and entire families. She also enjoys leading groups. Most of all, she has a passion for people to overcome adversity and truly receive the healing the Lord has for them.
   

 
Lee Sumrall
Lee is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in North Carolina. She has a passion for working with couples, including healing from divorce or affairs, sexual intimacy difficulties, and communication skills training. Lee also enjoys working with children, adolescents, and families developing effective parenting skills and appropriate boundary setting with children. Currently Lee is pursuing a certification in Christian Sex Therapy and is receiving monthly supervision from a certified Christian sex therapist.
She has been a counselor at Rodgers Christian Counseling since 2005 after graduating from Reformed Theological Seminary with a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. Prior to working at Rodgers, Lee was an intern therapist at the Center for Marriage and Family Therapy, where she worked with a variety of individuals, families, adolescents and children, including using non-directive play therapy with children. After graduating from RTS, Lee worked with children who had social and behavioral problems and met with parents to provide family structure and behavior management skills. She also has experience conducting pre-marital seminars with engaged couples at First Baptist Church of Jackson, Mississippi. Lee and her husband Wade have been married since 2003 and have two children, Anna and Ruth.
   

 
Morgan Enright

Morgan joined our staff in 2005.  He is a licensed marriage and family therapist and a licensed professional counselor who works with individuals, couples, and families.  This includes his work with adolescents and young adults, using a model that focuses on goal formation, healthy life skills, and fostering their identity in Christ.  He also helps men who struggle with pornography and sexual addiction to find emotional freedom and spiritual wholeness.  Morgan has developed research around the Soul Healing Love Model that coincides with his current Ph.D. program at Regent University.

Morgan has a wonderful wife whom he married in 2005.  They have two young sons and he spends his free time playing with them when he is not in the office.  He earned his BA Degrees in both Psychology and Religion from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. After graduating, he worked as residential counselor in a group home for abused and neglected children, as well as with autistic children.  He went on to graduate from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary with a Masters Degree in Christian Counseling and interned as a chaplain and with Forrest Hill Church before coming to work for us.  Morgan is passionate about helping people become emotionally and spiritually healthy as individuals and in their relationships.

   

 

Erica Fanelli
Erica Fanelli has a passion for working with children, adolescent girls, premarital and marital couples and individuals. She has worked at Kid’s Talk Play Therapy Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee where she utilized non-directive and directive play therapy as an approach for helping children cope with life’s difficulties. She enjoys counseling through play because it is a non threatening way for children to be able to express themselves and move towards healing. Erica also worked at The Transformation Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee where she enjoyed counseling individuals, families, couples, premarital couples, marital couples, adolescents, and children. It was there that she implemented a 12 week premarital/marital enrichment program covering topics such as: daily living, finances and budgeting, goals and family planning, communication and conflict resolution, intimacy, in-laws, holidays, etc…Erica has found this program to be very beneficial for couples in every stage of a relationship.
Erica holds a Masters Degree in Professional Counseling and a BA in Psychology with a minor in Religion from Lee University. She is a member of The American Association of Christian Counselors and The Association of Play Therapy. She is a Certified PREPARE/ENRICH Counselor. She has also received training from the Rodgers in the Soul Healing Love Model and is a Certified Soul Healing Therapist.
Erica is currently pursuing licensure as a Professional Counselor in the State of North Carolina as well as National Certified Counselor certification. She is also compiling her hours towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist.

   

 

Teshia Weeks
Teshia Weeks graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology (1995) and a Master’s Degree in Child Development and Family Relations, concentrating in Marriage and Family Therapy (1997). She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate. Immediately after graduate school, Teshia began working as a family law paralegal in a top Charlotte law firm. Through this work experience she has gained a deep knowledge and understanding of the issues families face throughout the process of separation and divorce. Teshia is a member of the Mecklenburg Collaborative Family Law Practice Group, which promotes a more dignified, cooperative approach to negotiating and settling issues arising from a family separation than the traditional more adversarial litigation approach. Teshia is also a certified Parenting Coordinator (PC), which is a professional appointed by the Court to assist parents in implementing a custody order or parenting agreement. As a PC, Teshia helps parents to resolve conflict and disputes that arise between them, facilitate both parents’ relationships with their children and remain focused on the children’s best interests. Teshia works with individuals, couples and families, with a variety of presenting problems, including marital/relationship conflict, divorce recovery, depression, anxiety, grief and life transitions. She is passionate about leading her clients to a new fullness of life through self-awareness. She helps them to have more meaningful and connected relationships as they journey toward emotional healing and spiritual growth. In her spare time, Teshia volunteers as a facilitator of workshops at the Central Church of God Life Care Center.

   

   
Rachael Elmore
Rachael is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in North Carolina. Rachael holds a Master’s Degree in Christian Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC and a Batchelor’s Degree in Psychology with a concentration in Family and Child Counseling from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. Her degrees gave her training in counseling, theology, and the integration of Christianity and psychology. She worked for Forest Hill in Charlotte, NC and counseled individuals as well as groups. Rachael co-led support groups focusing on infertility, blended families, and depression as well as DivorceCare and Celebrate Recovery. Rachael later worked at Calvary Church in Charlotte, NC counseling teenagers and young adults. Later she worked for Carolinas Medical Care system counseling teenagers through the Charlotte/Mecklenburg school system. Rachael is a member of the American Counseling Association. While working at At the Heart of the Matter Christian Counseling in Gastonia, NC, Rachael worked with couples and individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, communication issues, trauma, grief, parenting and family issues, and sexual issues. Rachael is passionate about repairing relationships, restoring healthy identity, and helping individuals in finding purpose in Christ. She utilizes creative therapy in counseling and desires to aid others in navigating through struggles to reach restoration, meaning, and hope.
   

Beth Shepherd
Beth is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) in North Carolina. Beth holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Denver Seminary in Denver, Colorado. Her degree gave her training in counseling, theology, and spiritual formation. Beth’s clinical training was completed at Shepherd’s Gate Counseling Center in Littleton, Colorado, and at Foundations Family Counseling in Denver, Colorado. She worked with couples, individuals, adolescents and children. Beth worked at Lost and Found, Inc., a Residential Treatment Center in the Colorado foothills with adolescents and their families on drug and alcohol addiction recovery. She also worked in private practice at Foundations Family Counseling helping couples, individuals, and children. At Rodgers Christian Counseling Beth has a passion for helping people on a variety of topics including marriage and premarital counseling, depression, anxiety, career struggles, addictions, boundaries, communication, eating disorders, trauma and abuse, and spiritual direction and transformation. Beth integrates Christian spirituality into the process of healing by helping people address the underlying issues of their struggles while planning practical action steps toward their goals. Beth has her National Certified Counselor credential (NCC). She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), is a certified Prepare-Enrich Pre-Marital/Marital Counselor, and is trained in the Rodgers’ Soul Healing Love Model.
