Drs. Beverly & Tom Rodgers
Bev & Tom Rodgers founded Rodgers Christian Counseling and have been in practice for 30 years and married for 34 years. They work with individuals, couples and families in Charlotte, NC.  Both are members of the American Association of Christian Counselors and Certified Image Relationship Therapists, skilled in Harville Hendrix's work in his books Getting the Love you Want and Keeping the Love You Find.  Beverly received her Masters Degree in counseling from Northern Illinois University, and is a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist.  Tom received two Master's Degrees from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Azusa Pacific University.  The Rodgers have written four books: Soul Healing Love: Ten Practical, Easy To Learn Techniques for Couples in CrisisHow To Find Mr. or Ms. Right: A Practical Guide to Finding a Soul Mate, and Adult Children of Divorced Parents: Making Your Marriage Work. Robert Dodd
Dr. Robert Dodd, PsyD, spent the first twenty years of his adult life as a minister in the Church of the Nazarene. In 1996, Dr. Dodd felt a distinct call to “leave” the pastoral ministry, but to continue in ministry as a Clinical Psychologist. He entered the Doctoral program at Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA earning a Doctor of Clinical Psychology degree in 2002. His dissertation study was entitled The Relation Between Spiritual Functioning in Pastors and Perceived Stress Levels. Upon completion of his doctorate, Dr. Dodd served as a psychologist/therapist in a maximum security prison in Nashville, TN and as a therapist in a child and adolescent treatment facility for sex offenders. From January 2004-March 2006 he served as the Clinical Director of an adolescent treatment facility in Charlotte, NC. In March of 2006 he began his duties as the Clinical Director for RCCA. He and his wife, Cindi Dodd, MA, LPC, also conduct workshops and seminars on the weekend. His life experience, both as a pastor and psychologist, enables him to work effectively with a variety of mental health needs including adolescent, marriage, family and all addictive behaviors, especially sex addiction. He states that “my heart’s desire is to effectively integrate psychology and spirituality, helping individuals to gain wholeness of life.”
   

 
   
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 


Cindi Dodd
Before beginning her counseling career, Cindi was a Music/Drama teacher and also Minister of Music at a large evangelical church. In those job situations, she found that she spent time meeting with individuals who were dealing with many issues in their own life. When she herself dealt with several devastating situations, a desire was sparked to truly be able to help others and pursue an advanced degree in counseling. She now holds a Masters Degree in Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN. Since May of 2005, she has worked as a full-time or part-time therapist at RCCA and received her license as an LPC in December 2006 along with her certification as a National Certified Counselor. From August of 2007 to June of 2010, she was the Lower School Counselor at Charlotte Christian School. Since July of 2010, she is again full-time at RCCA. In addition, she and her husband, Dr. Robert Dodd, PsyD, lead workshops and seminars on the weekends. Using her unique life experience and training in the Soul Healing Love Model, Cindi enjoys working with children, teenagers, singles, married couples and entire families. She also enjoys leading groups. Most of all, she has a passion for people to overcome adversity and truly receive the healing the Lord has for them.

Lee Sumrall
Lee is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in North Carolina. She has a passion for working with couples, including healing from divorce or affairs, sexual intimacy difficulties, and communication skills training. Lee also enjoys working with children, adolescents, and families developing effective parenting skills and appropriate boundary setting with children. Currently Lee is pursuing a certification in Christian Sex Therapy and is receiving monthly supervision from a certified Christian sex therapist.
She has been a counselor at Rodgers Christian Counseling since 2005 after graduating from Reformed Theological Seminary with a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. Prior to working at Rodgers, Lee was an intern therapist at the Center for Marriage and Family Therapy, where she worked with a variety of individuals, families, adolescents and children, including using non-directive play therapy with children. After graduating from RTS, Lee worked with children who had social and behavioral problems and met with parents to provide family structure and behavior management skills. She also has experience conducting pre-marital seminars with engaged couples at First Baptist Church of Jackson, Mississippi. Lee and her husband Wade have been married since 2003 and have two children, Anna and Ruth.
   

 


Morgan Enright

Morgan Enright is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in both NC and SC. Morgan is a distanced certified counselor (DCC) which allows him to counsel over the internet. He works with couples to develop healthy communication skills, process anger and disappointment, and heal from past hurt. As well as working on his Ph.D. program from Regent University, Morgan is pursuing a certification in Christian Sex Therapy and works with couples who have sexual intimacy difficulties. He counsels men who struggle with pornography and sexual addiction to find emotional freedom and spiritual wholeness. Morgan works with families in turmoil to be able to heal and reconnect. He works with adolescents and young adults, using a model that focuses on goal formation, healthy life skills, and fostering their identity in Christ. Morgan is passionate to help people become emotionally and spiritually healthy as individuals and in their relationships.
Morgan earned his bachelor degrees in both Psychology and Religion from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. After graduating, he worked as a residential counselor in a group home for abused and neglected children. He graduated from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary with a Masters Degree in Christian Counseling and interned with Forrest Hill Church before coming to work for us in 2005. Morgan enjoys spending time with his wife and sons.

   

 


Erica Fanelli
Erica is a licensed professional counselor. She and her family moved to Charlotte in 2007 from Chattanooga, TN where she attended Lee University. It was there that she received her BA in psychology with a minor in religion and her MS in Professional Counseling. Erica is passionate about helping those in need, whether that be a young girl who just found our her parents are divorcing, a boy who is acting out at home or school, a teenage girl facing trouble with her peers and her relationship with her mom and dad, a blended family that is just not getting along, a couple whose marriage has not turned out quite as they had imagined or expected, parents who are frustrated and need help constructively parenting their children, an individual who is trying to navigate through life with its many challenges or a premarital couple who are eager to prepare for the marriage they have always dreamed of. Erica’s desire is to lend a hand to those in need, and to walk together towards the freedom, growth, and healing that God so desperately desires for His people.
Helping children cope with life’s difficulties is an aspect of therapy that Erica is devoted to. She uses play, the natural language of children, to promote growth, transformation and healing in children ages 4-12. Rachael Elmore
Rachael is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in North Carolina. Rachael holds a Master’s Degree in Christian Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC and a Batchelor’s Degree in Psychology with a concentration in Family and Child Counseling from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. Her degrees gave her training in counseling, theology, and the integration of Christianity and psychology. She worked for Forest Hill in Charlotte, NC and counseled individuals as well as groups. Rachael co-led support groups focusing on infertility, blended families, and depression as well as DivorceCare and Celebrate Recovery. Rachael later worked at Calvary Church in Charlotte, NC counseling teenagers and young adults. Later she worked for Carolinas Medical Care system counseling teenagers through the Charlotte/Mecklenburg school system. Rachael is a member of the American Counseling Association. While working at At the Heart of the Matter Christian Counseling in Gastonia, NC, Rachael worked with couples and individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, communication issues, trauma, grief, parenting and family issues, and sexual issues. Rachael is passionate about repairing relationships, restoring healthy identity, and helping individuals in finding purpose in Christ. She utilizes creative therapy in counseling and desires to aid others in navigating through struggles to reach restoration, meaning, and hope.
   

 


Amanda Rodgers Cumbo, BS, MACC Candidate

Amanda has her degree in Biology with a concentration in Psychology from UNC-Chapel Hill. She is currently studying to obtain her Master’s degree in Christian Counseling at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte. She is well acquainted with the Soul Healing Love Model as she has been working with Rodgers Christian Counseling for the last 15 years. Amanda looks forward to working with couples, individuals, and children, while working especially with people facing chronic illness

 

 


Nikki Rodgers Beach, MA, LPC
She graduated with a Master of Arts in Counseling from Denver Seminary in 2008 where she counseled individuals, including teens, couples, and families, at Shepherds Gate Counseling Center. For the past two and a half years, she has been working in community mental health in Adams County, Colorado. At this agency, Nikki helped seriously mentally ill people rehabilitate into the community by learning necessary life skills. This experience was invaluable in helping her in her new endeavor as a private practice therapist using the Soul Healing Love Model.
Nikki enjoys working with couples, families, teens, women in transition, singles dealing with love and relationship issues, and loved ones struggling with both grief and loss and family members who have severe mental illnesses. She is not only a Certified Soul Healing Love Therapist but she is also the daughter of its founders, Drs. Tom and Beverly Rodgers. As the daughter of Bev and Tom, Nikki has grown up experiencing the power of the Soul Healing Model, and is excited to join Rodgers Christian Counseling in Charlotte.

   

 

Samantha Sult, MA, LPCA
Samantha Sult is a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate in North Carolina (LPCA). She was born and raised in Charlotte, NC. She received her Bachelors in Psychology from North Carolina State University, during which time she was involved in child development and communication research. She later received her Masters in Christian Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC. Through different internships and employment with Billy Graham Evangelistic Association she has gained understanding and experience with a variety of mental health, emotional, and spiritual issues. Samantha has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. She has counseled them on substance abuse, grief, life-stage changes, depression, anxiety, anger management, family discord, spiritual bondage formation, and life skills. Samantha’s ultimate desire is to be used by God to provide healing from past wounds, gain insight on present issues, and equip clients to have healthy, meaningful relationships with others and God. She strives to give every client a space and time to be heard and know that someone cares about them and their struggles. In addition to spending time with her husband, son, and shipoo, she looks forward to assisting you or someone you know in the healing process.
 

   


Tracey Bennett, Graduate Student Intern
Tracey is now pursuing her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling through Liberty University and is excited about the new opportunity she has to work alongside the staff at Rodgers Christian Counseling. She desires to minister to those who are facing difficulties in their lives and is open to what the Lord has planned for her as she begins this new phase in of life. Tracey is interested in working with individuals, couples, children, and families as they seek healing through counseling. Her passion is ministering to young women who struggle with self-esteem and other identity issues.
Tracey grew up in a small Virginia town and graduated from Liberty University in 1996 with a degree in education. She is a mother of four, and once her children were in school, she was able to return to teaching at a Christian school in the Charlotte area. She continues to enjoy her teaching position and loves investing in the lives of her students and their families.
She enjoys spending time with her family and taking mission trips to countries such as Guatemala, Panama, and Haiti. Her family has a heart for missions and plans to continue spending time each summer serving others.
